PS3? MORE LIKE A 300$ PAPERWEIGHT

So, for those who don't know what is going on of recent. PS3s world round are going insane. If you own a PS3 Phat chances are you've noticed.

The error, which effects not only online play but offline play is due to an internal clock. For some reason(Read: idiotic production) the internal clock seems to have counted the date as 2/29/10. Yes, a leap year. This makes the OS (which knows it isn't said date.) freak out and proceed to take you back in time to 12/31/99.

Needless to say, this is the biggest blackout in service for a console in recent years. Much worse than the Xbox live blackout of 08 when I spilled coffee on my 360 or the three other times after where I saw red rings.



Be advised that if you are having this issue it's better to just leave your PS3 alone. It can cause damage to your trophy system and there are rumors of save data corruption(Which I doubt). Sony Suggests: Not touching your PS3 until they have a fix Tuesday, swearing, obsessive chanting, witchcraft and BUYING A PS3 SLIM NOW FOR 299$! IT ONLY DOES EVERYTHING.

I do suggest that if you own a PS3 phat. You should ring in the new year tonight and party like it is 1999.
